Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, Aussie pop star Peter Andre, the Ministry of Sound dance show and top United Kingdom comedians Jo Brand and Alan Carr are among those who will star at the 2011 Manx Telecom Bay Festival.
The event, in association with Manx Radio, was officially launched this lunchtime (Thursday).
The Valhalla tent in Noble's Park will once again play host with the line-up to be boosted further by headline acts, yet to be announced, for the Saturday and Sunday night.
Valhalla will be transformed from an intimate music arena into a comedy venue with ‘Comedy in the Park’ on the festival’s opening night.
'Britain’s Got Talent meets the X-Factor' will return, with stars from the 2010 hit TV shows including Stacey Solomon. There will be an aerial stunt act, a festival circus and a second outdoor stage hosting a Battle of the Bands competition contested by some of the UK’s brightest up and coming acts in rock, indie, pop, urban and DJ, with a record deal on offer for the winner.
Voice of the X-Factor, Peter Dickson, will again compere, and he can’t wait (play audio file):
