One of the volunteers who helps maintain an historic Manx-built vessel has been visiting the Island as she approaches a major landmark.
The Star of India, believed to be the oldest active sailing ship in the world, was constructed in Ramsey and launched 150 years ago this November.
She now resides in the San Diego Maritime Museum where she was restored, and now kept in immaculate condition, by a volunteer team.
Carl Scragg has been in Ramsey to see the shipyard where the Star was built.
He says besides her age there is something else which makes her very special:

Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
