Ship celebrates at sea
The world's oldest active sailing ship, which was built in the Isle of Man, celebrates her 155th 'birthday' this weekend, and is heading out on the seas for it.
Star of India was built at Gibson, McDonald & Arnold's shipyard in Ramsey in 1863, and was originally named Euterpe (you-ter-pee), after the Greek muse of music.
The iron-hulled vessel was renamed the Star of India in 1906, after being bought by the Alaska Packers' Association.
She has spent her later years docked in San Diego, as part of the city's maritime museum.
