Stargazers in the Isle of Man are running out of time to take part in Star Count Week, which finishes tomorrow (Sunday).
It's an annual event, the purpose of which is to analyse the night sky above the British Isles, see where the darkest places are and monitor light pollution. The results are then shown on a map.
Howard Parkin from the Isle of Man Astronomical Society is keen for as many Manx residents as possible to get involved, and show the rest of the British Isles how clear the skies above the Island are.
He says anyone can take part, by counting the number of stars found within the rectangle formed by the four outer stars of the well known constellation Orion (play audio file):
