Wider 9.6 percent increase in total passengers carried to the Island this summer
More than 31,400 passengers travelled to the Isle of Man by sea during this year's Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix period, according to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.
The figure, of 31,406, sets a new record for the period since comparable records began in 1993.
The company has attributed it to the reimagining of the event; and says it marks one element of 'positive traffic figures' for the overall summer period.
It says it has seen a 9.6 percent increase in total passengers carried to the Island during the school summer holidays compared to the same period last year.
Managing Director Brian Thomson says: "The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is pleased to be playing its part in driving forward economic growth in the Isle of Man.
"We’ve seen our annual volumes grow each year since the end of the Covid restrictions.
"This has been a successful Summer for us and we’re looking to build on that as we start to roll out our campaigns for Autumn and Winter periods.’
