Better terminal facilities on horizon - minister
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says moving the Steam Packet’s ferry terminal in Liverpool would be an ideal opportunity to improve its facilities.
This week, the city council said it wanted to use the current berth at the Pier Head to expand its cruise terminal – with the Steam Packet moving around a mile north to Waterloo Dock.
The announcement’s sparked some criticism from passenger body Travelwatch which says it doesn’t want to see any move further away from the city centre.
But Mr Gawne says the move could be a chance to upgrade facilities there:
