A leading haulier in the Isle of Man says the Steam Packet is doing nothing wrong as far as its fares are concerned.
Managing Director of Manx Independent Carriers John Quaye has been studying the findings of an investigation by a Tynwald Select Committee into the operation of the ferry company.
Mr Quaye says the Steam Packet is not breaking any part of its User Agreement with the Manx government, but he still has concerns about its profits (play audio file):
One of the Select Committee's recommendations is that a more transparent method of displaying fares, particularly discounted ones, would be useful.
