Unions were promising a noisy presence when key figures arrived at the Sea Terminal in Douglas for this afternoon's talks in the ongoing freight row.
Steam Packet staff and officials were outside the House of Keys this morning, but said they would be taking their protest to the harbour after lunch..
Three maritime unions are concerned for the jobs of the Packet's 300 staff in the Isle of Man, and the ferry services provided by the company, in the face of the rival freight service which has been set up by Ramsey-based Mezeron.
Ken Usher of the RMT Union says more demonstrations are planned:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
Plans submitted for 85 new homes on former Buchan School site
