Response to report on hold
The Steam Packet will not respond to a Covid-19 report published yesterday until after the chief minister has made a statement in the House of Keys.
The 94-page report was produced by the treasury's audit advisory division after concerns over whether Manx crew needed to self-isolate when off-duty.
The review says the ferry operator first raised the issue of protocols, to manage the mixing of Manx and UK crew, on 7 July last year.
A reply came from government over a month later on 20 August.
It also states there were instances when the Steam Packet was not treated as a high priority by government.
No direction notices were issued to Island resident crew until 25 February this year.
Howard Quayle will discuss the issue on Tuesday.
