Storm Ashley is on the way
The Steam Packet is warning of possible disruption to sailings this weekend.
Storm Ashley is due to pass over the British Isles, from the early hours of Sunday morning, with southerly winds gusts of 45 to 55mph and as high as 60mph in more exposed areas.
Gale warnings are in place all through the weekend for marine traffic; it means there could be disruption to services between the Island and Heysham due to the predicted force and direction of the wind.
Services to Liverpool are currently expected to be less impacted by the strong winds and sea state but the company says the 3pm sailing on Sunday, and its return, are subject to a weather warning.
Passengers affected by changes can amend their bookings online free of charge or contact the reservations team on 661661 to make alternative arrangements.
