Island has shown the way with female representation
The Speaker of the House of Keys has described a further erosion of the number of female MHKs as "regrettable".
The retirement of East Douglas member Brenda Cannell, after 19 years, leaves just one woman in the Keys.
Mrs Cannell has taken the decision to step down after the loss of her husband earlier this year.
A by-election date has still to be announced.
