
A £600 collection for the RNLI stolen last weekend, has been anonymously returned.
The cash was raised by family and friends of Port St Mary second coxswain Michael Kneale, who asked for donations in lieu of presents for his 60th birthday.
The money was taken from an unlocked van last Monday morning.
After wide publicity in the media this week, the thief appears to be uncomfortable with the ill-gotten gains and had a change of heart.
All the money has been pushed through the door of Port St Mary boat house.
