Decision on Steam Packet sailings later
This evening's Isle of Man Steam Packet ferry crossing to Heysham is under threat as more strong winds are set to hit the Island.
A storm warning has been issued by the Ronaldsway Met Office and a decision about the 7.45pm Ben-my-Chree sailing and the overnight return will be made at 5pm.
The latest spell of wet and very windy weather has been called Storm Gertrude.
Winds are forecast to reach gale force during this afternoon and increase to severe gale or storm force this evening and overnight.
Gusts of 50 to 60 mph are expected widely across the Island but could reach 65 mph in more exposed spots.
This will bring a risk of some damage and disruption.
