There was a choppy ride for the Steam Packet and the Department of Transport in Tynwald today.
As members discussed a Select Committee report into the operation of the company there was criticism of its freight charges, high profits and standards of customer service.
Most members contributed to the debate, including Ramsey MHK Anne Craine who said her own experience of travelling with the Steam Packet left a lot to be desired (play attached audio file):
Tynwald debated the Select Committee report for more than four hours, and there will be coverage on Mandate tomorrow morning.
