
It's the end of an era for a well-known Strand Street shop this weekend.
Supercards will close its doors for the final time at the end of Saturday's trading (28 Dec).
It's the sister store of bargain emporium Moochers, which shut at the end of last year.
Moochers was opened by David Cretney in its original location on Wellington Street almost 29 years ago.
Mr Cretney, who's also South Douglas MHK and infrastructure minister, says it's been hectic recently, but he will miss the Douglas retail scene:
