Section of Market Street shut for up to 28 weeks
A street in Douglas is due to be shut for more than half a year from today (Mon 02), as work on a new hotel enters the next phase.
A Premier Inn is being built on Market Street, opposite the back of Marks and Spencer.
The scheduled closure of the section between there and the back of TK Maxx is for 28 weeks.
The rear entrance to Marks and Spencer will remain open during the works.
The five-floor, 85-bedroom hotel will include a restaurant and bar, and is due for completion in spring next year.
