The Steam Packet has cancelled this evening's ferry sailing to Heysham, and the return service in the early hours of tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
The company says it's made the decision because of a rapid deterioration in the current weather forecast, which now indicates there will be northwesterly winds to gale force nine this evening.
The services affected were scheduled for 7.45pm and 2.15am.
