
As the two sides in the bus dispute dig their heels in, Chief Minister Allan Bell says the dispute could be a long one.
Mr Bell says there’s no softening of the government’s stance in the dispute – he’s backing Department of Community, Culture and Leisure plans to slash £300,000 from its budget by scrapping paid lunch breaks.
He says in economic and budgetary terms, things are only going to get tougher on the Island in coming years.
And he says the strike action could go on for months:
