A meeting in Douglas last night saw students, parents and MHKs discussing the best way to oppose government plans over tuition fee loans.
The scheme, which would see students paying some of their university course costs, will be voted on by Tynwald on Tuesday.
Last night’s gathering at the Old Friends Club in Douglas saw a group of students and parents meet MHKs Howard Quayle, Peter Karran, Kate Beecroft and Brenda Cannell – who all say they’ll vote against the regulations.
Afterwards, these students said they were optimistic they could take on the Council of Ministers and win:
'Deterrent' sentence imposed for ketamine importer
Several sailings at risk or cancelled due to adverse weather
Glencrutchery Road to close to northbound traffic
MHK's shock over Hospice announcement
Sulby Straight closure in place this weekend
