Petition due to be tabled at next month's sitting
A petition to investigate the feasibility of the Isle of Man taking in Syrian refugees has been handed to Tynwald members by local students.
It's the brainchild of four Ballakermeen High School pupils, and was prompted after the Island's parliament voted against setting up a select committee to look into the practicalities of the notion; opting instead to donate financial aid.
One hundred and ninety people have supported the petition, which will be discussed at the December sitting of Tynwald.
