Eighth strike in seven months from the Student Climate Network
Students and adults gathered outside parliament earlier today for their eighth strike in seven months.
It's over, what the protesters view as, inaction from government against climate change.
Organised by the Student Climate Network, the demonstration was prompted after government declared a climate emergency, but then agreed to entertain proposals to explore for gas in Manx waters.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle was dismissive of the strike, arguing his administration is doing everything possible to deal with climate change obligations.
SCN leaders Archie Elliott from Castle Rushen and Ewan McClellend from QEII spoke to Rhian Evans about the Chief Minister's reaction and what they want from government:
If you would like to get in touch with the SCN, you can do so on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @iomscn or via email climatestrikeiom@gmail.com
