A basking shark conference which drew together experts on the Island's most celebrated wildlife has been a huge success, say organisers.
It was the first worldwide gathering of scientists who study the gentle giants, and gave the opportunity for them to share ideas and research.
The event was staged in Port Erin and the researchers had the chance to see the sharks up close and discuss how best to protect them.
