Fifth placing and best percussion section in third section
Douglas Town Band had a successful weekend at the north west regional area championships in Blackpool.
Under the baton of Ken Mitchell, the band finished in fifth place in the third section of the contest.
And it scooped another accolade after being named as having the best percussion team in the section.
Also flying the Manx flag were Ramsey Town Band and Manx Concert Brass who finished in ninth and 12th place respectively in their sections.
