A man with a history of ignoring a driving ban has admitted riding a motorbike whilst disqualified.
Twenty-one-year-old Thomas Daniel Richards of Ballabrooie in Sulby appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
Richards pleaded guilty to breaching his driving ban on an uninsured, untaxed and unroadworthy motorbike whilst not wearing a helmet and failing to tell the Treasury about a change in its ownership.
The court heard he was stopped by police as he rode a Yamaha RSS100 on Fairfield Avenue in Ramsey on 16 June.
Prosecution advocate Roger Kane told the court Richards had been given community service and a suspended prison sentence already this year for driving whilst disqualified.
Magistrates adjourned the case while updated pre-sentencing and psychiatric reports are prepared.
Richards was granted bail in the sum of £500 and will appear again for sentencing on 30 January.
