Welbeck Hotel braced for 'three winters'
It's been a torrid time for businesses on and around Douglas promenade for almost two years now.
This September will mark 24 months since the project officially got underway.
But is there any light at the end of the tunnel?
Yesterday, it was announced there would be help for some hospitality and retail firms in the form of VAT changes - with the tax on food and attractions reduced from 20 per cent to 5 per cent.
However, it was also announced Summerhill will close for eight weeks, from next week - across the school summer holidays, as the accelerated regeneration scheme kicks into its next phase.
