Event to commemorate disaster's anniversary
Today marks the 42nd anniversary of the Summerland disaster.
Fifty people were killed when a huge fire broke out at the the popular Douglas tourist attraction on August 2nd, 1973.
A witness to the tragedy, Tina Brennen, has organised a minute's silence tonight at the site from 7.30pm, to remember the lives that were lost.
She says it's really important for the Island to commemorate the disaster:
