Sabbath should be used for rest
The Lord Bishop admits for many people, the Sabbath is just another day.
Robert Paterson was speaking after the UK Chancellor George Osborne unveiled plans to allow larger stores in England and Wales to open longer on Sundays.
The plans are designed to promote jobs and the economy.
The Bishop says it’s pointless to hold back the tide of public feeling.
