Minister defends private petrolheads' run
A convoy of unique sports cars on Manx roads was a worthy marketing exercise, according to the Economic Development Minister.
Liverpool-based Briggs Automotive Company brought over twelve of its high-powered, £125,000 Mono cars yesterday - with their international owners given a grand tour of the Island's scenic drives.
Though many turned out to marvel at the sight, some complained that the meet - which saw temporary road closures in the south - was a case of government pandering to wealthy non-residents.
