Fire Service urges people to make sure their chimneys are properly swept
The Island's fire service says it's expecting an increase in the number of chimney fires it has to deal with as the price of energy rises.
It's as people are being urged to make sure their chimneys are properly swept before using them during Chimney Fire Safety Week, which begins today.
The service says it's anticipating a surge in the number of people relying on their open fires over the coming winter months.
