It's believed the increase could be down to distortions caused by the pandemic
Figures obtained from Manx Care under a Freedom of Information request suggest a large increase in the number of patients being admitted to hospital for cancer treatments.
Monthly admissions for any form of cancer between 2019 and 2021 showed a significant rise during most months last year.
Malcolm Clague of the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association, believes the size of the discrepancies could be partly down to Manx Care calculating the figures in a different way, and distortions caused by the Covid pandemic.
