
Six Manx swimmers are braving the English Channel this weekend, in a challenge they liken to climbing Everest!
The all-female team the Manx Minkes, aim to cross the strait at its narrowest, 22-mile wide point, in 11 hours.
They're raising money for the spinal injuries charity Aspire.
It's a relay swim, which will see each of them in the water for two one-hour stints, in turns, until they reach France.
The six left the Island this morning and if tides and weather patters allow, they hope to swim the Channel early on Sunday morning.
