The Director of Public Health says the swine flu pandemic is just about over on the Island.
Dr Parameswaran Kishore says no new cases have been reported since Christmas and he’s not expecting any new outbreaks.
He says the Island may have been over-prepared with huge stocks of vaccine and anti-virals left unused - but says it was better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.
Dr Kishore says both here and in the UK, the disease seems to be on the wane.
