Callister defends position on Bushy's
The Department of Economic Development says the name of the TT needs protecting to be attractive to commercial partners and sponsors.
That's in response to a social media outburst after Bushy's Brewery revealed it was being told to drop the use of the TT initials from t-shirts and stickers.
Onchan MHK Rob Callister is the DED's political member with responsibility for motorsport.
He says he has spoken to Martin Brunnschweiler on the phone and will work with him to resolve the matter when he returns to the Island.
But Mr Callister says the department has to look after its assets:
