
The Island is well placed to deal with problem gambling, even though it’s become more socially acceptable than ever before.
That’s according to the Island’s gambling support worker.
Reservations remain in many areas, including online gambling, a sector which is thriving in the Manx economy.
However, Lyndsey Smart, from support service GamCare, says education is key in the bid to help local gamblers tackle their addiction.
And she believes perceptions of gambling are changing across society.
