Birdwatchers on the Island are being encouraged to get involved in this weekend's Big Garden Birdwatch.
The initiative, run by the RSPB, is now in its 34th year.
During the last weekend of January members of the public are asked to watch the birds in their garden for an hour then send in details of their sightings to the charity who use them to build up a picture of bird numbers around the British Isles.
Big Garden Birdwatch project manager Sarah Houghton explains how you take part.
