Onchan MHK Peter Karran says he’s concerned about rumours the government has started negotiations with the Steam Packet Company over the Island’s linkspan user agreement.
In the House of Keys this week, he’ll quiz Infrastructure Minister David Cretney about the issue.
Mr Karran will ask whether the department has had meetings with the Steam Packet Company over the deal which sees the firm have sole use of the linkspan.
The department says Tynwald members have been aware discussions about the user agreement have been ongoing for a long time.
Both Infrastructure Minister David Cretney and Chief Minister Allan Bell have said publicly that any proposed changes will first come to Tynwald for debate and a vote.
