Steam Packet meeting with central government
Steam Packet officials will be meeting with members of the Department of Infrastructure following Sunday's incident involving the Ben-My-Chree.
The vessel struck the King Edward pier as it was trying to dock in higher than forecast winds.
The Ben suffered only superficial damage and returned to service yesterday evening, but repairs will have to be carried out to one of the mooring platforms on the pier.
Mark Woodward says talks will be held to see if any possible improvements could be made to facilities or procedures in the harbour.
