007 debut gets Gaelic translation
One of Britain's best-loved spy stories has been translated into Manx.
Ian Fleming's Casino Royale - which introduced the world to James Bond - is now available in Gaelg paperback.
Culture Vannin was given a 'licence to print' the 1953 book by the deceased author's estate, and translation lovingly undertaken by Bob Carswell.
The book is available to buy at Culture Vannin's headquarters in St John's.
It's one of a number of modern works spun in Manx - as Culture Vannin's Language Development Officer Adrian Cain explains:
Gas supplier provides reassurance amid ongoing global market volatility
Farmers in race against time after freight backlog in Heysham
Further changes to sailing schedule due to tidal restrictions
Census 'still one of the most valuable statistical tools' for government
'Immigration is needed' for economic growth on Island
