Justice and Home Affairs Minister gives assurance that border security has been strengthened
The justice and home affairs minister says a targeted and increasingly intelligence led approach to security will help keep the Island safe when the number of sailings between here and Ireland increase.
Jane Poole-Wilson was asked about border security at the Irish and Northern Irish ports in this week's sitting of the House of Keys.
She also faced questions about whether asylum seekers could look to use the routes to reach the Island.
Minister Poole-Wilson gave the assurance that security arrangements at ports have been strengthened in recent years:
