
A man arrested following an incident in which police used Tasers for the first time in the Island will appear in court later today (Tues).
The electroshock non-lethal weapons were used by police officers while dealing with an incident in Marathon Road in Douglas last Wednesday.
37 year-old Brian William Parton is charged with arson, being reckless as to whether anyone's life would be endangered.
He is also charged with two counts of destroying property as well as common assault on a female.
Mr Parton is due to be committed to a Court of General Gaol Delivery.
