Dr Allinson thanks staff at his department for crisis work
Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson has praised teachers for their hard work and dedication during a difficult year.
The Covid-19 pandemic led to schools being closed, except for hubs around the Island, exams were cancelled and there were problems at first with grades.
Dr Allinson says he's grateful staff didn't allow industrial disputes to interfere with a collective effort at a time of crisis.
His department is also responsible for sport and culture where people took on unusual roles to help out:-
You can hear the full interview with Dr Allinson in the News Review of 2020 programme which will be aired at noon on New Year's Eve.
