Airport welcome for returning athletes
Manx athletes who competed in the NatWest Island Games return home from Jersey today, boasting a handsome haul of medals.
Team Isle of Man finished second in the medal table behind the home nation, and will arrive at Ronaldsway to a heroes' welcome from family, friends and supporters.
The team scooped a total of 90 medals, with strong performances across the board and gold-medal winning top podium places in athletics, cycling, swimming, badminton and golf.
Toast of the team swimmer Charlotte Atkinson notched a remarkable eight golds.
Chief Minister Allan Bell says the Manx contingent can be proud of its achievement.
