New charity says art can help sick children
A new Manx charity will launch this evening to offer clinical art therapy for ill children.
The Teapot Trust (Isle of Man) has completed a pilot project with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
Laura Young lost her daughter Verity aged just eight.
During treatments, when Verity was occupied creating art, she relaxed and was able to communicate her emotions.
Tim Glover has been talking to Laura Young:
The Teapot Trust (Isle of Man) launch and fundraiser is at Arragon Mooar, the home of Dr John C Taylor OBE - the father of Laura Young.
If you can offer help to the charity, please email laura@teapot-trust.org
