
A diverse array of speakers and an eclectic range of topics promises to stimulate the grey matter at the Island's first ever TEDx event next week.
TED - Technology, Enterntainment and Design - is a non-profit organisation devoted to spreading ideas and stimulating discussion through 15-minute talks.
The event, on Monday (November 10), is at the Youth Arts Centre on Kensington Road in Douglas.
Speakers include local experts on topics from the Manx language to lighting and from soccer to spirituality.
Manx blues star Davy Knowles will speak and perform while NASA astronaut Colonel Ron Garan will offer an 'orbital perspective' on the power of social media.
