Fine and penalty points for 17-year-old
A teenage motorist has admitted driving without due care and attention after she forced another driver off the road.
Amy Leah Pledger of Ballanoa Meadows in Santon pleaded guilty to the charge at Douglas Courthouse.
The 17-year-old caused another driver to swerve after pulling out of the junction at Selbourne Drive into Alexander Drive in Douglas.
As a result, the other motorist collided with the All Saints Church Hall and was taken to hospital, but was found not to have sustained injuries.
Magistrates ordered Pledger to pay a £350 fine and £50 in costs, and endorsed her driving licence with four points, while extending her requirement to display R plates by three months.
