18-year-old charged with arson
A teenager from Onchan has appeared in court accused of throwing a ‘Molotov cocktail’ at a property in Douglas.
Tobias Andrew Mckee, of School Road, has been charged with attempting to destroy property or cause damage by fire on 29 July.
The 18-year-old is also charged with two counts of arson on 2 and 3 August; one of which had the potential to endanger life and involved setting fire to a car.
The teen, who is jointly accused of the offences, entered ‘no plea’ during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
Committal proceedings, where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery, will take place on 16 February; he’s been bailed until that date.
