Pulrose man had been celebrating after Champions League final
A court's heard how a Douglas teenager celebrating Liverpool's Champions League win ended up struggling with police following a late-night fight.
Eighteen-year-old Dean Rae, of Oak Avenue in Pulrose, appeared at Douglas courthouse before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.
He pleaded guilty to common assault, resisting police in the execution of their duties and being drunk and disorderly on 2 June.
Prosecutor James Robinson told the hearing Rae was out drinking with friends and was very drunk when he got into a row outside a takeaway on Victoria Street in Douglas at 2am.
The court heard Rae was outside Herrons Country Fried Chicken when he launched a flurry of punches, hitting a man in the head.
A police attending another incident nearby saw the fight and tried to calm Rae down, only for the teenager to start swearing and struggling.
His advocate asked for social enquiry reports to be prepared before his client is sentenced.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 and will appear again on 24 September.
