Eighteen-year-old from Ramsey faces two drugs charges
A teenager from the north of the Island has appeared in court over allegations he imported tens of thousands of pounds worth of drugs to the Isle of Man.
Eighteen-year-old Matthew John George Williams of May Hill in Ramsey appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to producing 1.7 kilogrammes of cannabis worth £51,000 to the Island on 30 November, and possessing drugs in Parliament Square on 12 May.
Mr Williams also entered no plea to one count of producing 1,466 ecstasy tablets on 2 December.
Mrs Hughes declined jurisdiction in the case and remanded Williams in custody.
He’s next due to appear in court on 12 January.
