A Ramsey woman who assaulted a police officer and committed other offences has been spared jail by High Bailiff Michael Moyle
Seventeen-year-old Sophia Angela Davies, of Waterloo Road, appeared for sentence after admitting the assault as well as being drunk and disorderly, dropping litter and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
Her advocate said Davies spat at the officer because she thought she was going to be strip searched at the station following her arrest, adding that all the offences were committed when she had been drunk.
Sentencing Davies to four months in prison, suspended for two years, Mr Moyle said she was building up a list of convictions and warned her the only reason she wasn't going to jail was her age.
