Department monitoring feedback from users
'Teething problems were inevitable' when health chiefs appointed a new operator of the patient transfer service in the north west of England.
Health Minister Kate Beecroft made the admission in Tynwald today (Tuesday), a month after Bridgewater - the firm which had provided the service for much of the last 20 years - lost out in a tender process.
She told the court it had been hoped that Bridgewater would have been able to stay on for a time to ease a smooth transfer, but this had not been possible.
There's been concerns and complaints raised about replacement company ComCab, which took over on March 27, including drivers going too quickly on bumpy roads and that ill and frail passengers are sometimes left on fold-up seats in vehicles.
Mrs Beecroft today admitted all feedback about ComCab, both positive and negative, was being monitored.
